I have run the Troubleshooter, selected the printer which was not working - a dialogue box showed a number of copies of the same printer - I selected one of the printers, the Troubleshooter made it default and made it accessible to the Homegroup. When I try and print a document the Lexmark printer dialog box opens, appears to start printing but then stops.

There is no sign from the printer that a file has been sent to it. I eventually solved the problem by: deleting all of the printers and the Lexmark software; downloading the Windows 8. The system now works well from both of our laptops, one running Windows 7 the other Windows I am having the same issue as well any suggestions would be helpful.

I did this a while back with my Lexmark X but with the recent updates and builds the printer will no longer work. I have tried everything but there is one document that is "stuck" and I cannot get it to delete although the message in the print dialogue window says it is deleting, it just never does.

I have tried to uninstall the printer but it won't because this "stuck" document is still in the queue. Any other suggestions? In reply to Crystal's post on August 5, I have done all the things you said but the troubleshooter still comes up with there being no problem with the connection. Also even when the computer is connected under via usb cable the printing still comes up with the message saying that the computer cannot communicate with the printer.
